Why run? I can take on a w/mo solo with my air ele. Haven't played that character in awhile for PvP so I don't remember exactly what my strategy was, but it basically consisted of:
1. use some kind of slow spell while they're rushing at you
2. enervating charge to weaken them
3. knock them down with shock
4. while they're trying to get up, hit them with that lightning orb
5. then basically keep pounding on them with any available lightning spell you have, like lightning strike, javalin, chain lightning etc.
I never had to use em, but you might wanna pack a mesmer interupt spell or two incase they try to heal. and it pretty much goes without saying that you should have already casted Aura of Restoration before the battle even began
(and incase you were wondering, I have 15 energy storage and 14 air)

Bring a monk. Unless this is arena? In which case you probably will want to spec a little more in defensive skills, maybe water, or illusion, or that lightning spell that blinds, I forget what it's called... Unfortunately, arena is always tricky, because sometimes it'll be you and 3 monks, and sometimes it'll be you and 3 level 15 rangers playing with their moa birds =P

That's one of the most offensive combinations available, so you are going to be targetted quickly and likely before the monks. But if you're using that, then you should be trying to do more damage to them they can do to you. I'd think mesmer slows and air blinds/knockdowns would be enough to solo warriors. If 3 of them are after you, then you'll just have to try to do more to them than they can do to before you drop. Running isn't a good idea with that since you aren't going to be able to disable 3 of them at a time, and you don't want to waste your offensive abilities by running til you die.
I'm assuming that's 4 vs 4 arena?

With an E/Me, it's extremely easy to smite a warrior. Start off by using Water Trident, which knocks them down if they're running to you(which they are, or you're not fighting) and while he's down, cast imagined burden on him. Take a few steps back, cast empathy on him, cast ward against melee, enervating charge, chain lightning and any other lightning skills you might have(like Lightning Javelin, quick, and does damage). When he finally gets to you, he will be weakened, have a high % of not hitting you, and if he does, he pwns himself! Just keep up the lightning spells and you can kill a warrior with W/Me real quick.
If you can't stand being near a warrior, then go more ranged and use Water Trident to keep him down, imagined burden, run, cast a few lightning spells, lather, rinse, and repeat :P

Yeah I'd put some points in Illusion and have image burden up to 12 sec. He wont be able to catch you.

If your elite isn't tied up elsewhere, I like Signet of Midnight. You can keep a target blinded for 10 seconds with 15 sec recharge. Very effective at not only protecting you, but protecting anyone being beat on by those pesky warriors.

If you're really desperate, put some points in earth magic. Armor of earth helps a ton, as well as ward against melee, and if you're really pushing for invulnerability, bring obsidian flesh. If you trigger all those, he'll have a 50% chance to miss, and when he does hit, he'll be hitting your ~140 AL, which cuts damage down to ridiculous amounts (about 25%). And there's absolutely no counter to that once it's all active. The best option would be to focus on offense and leave the defense to the monks, but in random groups it's always nice to be fully covered.

Nature's Renewal.
Of course, we are talking about warriors here.

ehehe, ok well there are a few counters to that (nature's renewal, well of profane, etc). I was referring more to vs. warrior situations, who don't often bring those skills due to cost/lack of flexibility.

Gale. You're knocked down and out of your 3 second cast time Signet by a one second interrupt. Now you've got 30 seconds before that recharges. Gale, Ice Spikes, Ward Against Foes, Blinding Flash, Signet of Midnight and several other fun conditioners/snares all recharge faster than that. This is also 30 seconds in which the Air Ele, if they want, can just pound you with spells and probably kill you, since Purge Signet just sapped around 50% of the energy you might have intended to use to heal yourself.
Kthxbye? Not quite.

Maybe work as a team instead of aiming at the warrior. Stand and take it. Cast on the called target. The problem is you are worried about dying whereas you should be worrying about killing what your team is killing. If your team wins, you win. And if the warrior does kill you, pray your partners brought a res signet or the likes.

Yeah.... You have ANY idea how slow you move with doylak signet on you? All a ele/mes has to do is hit you with burden and you'll be virtually stationary. He'll easily back-pedal and waste you. I'd personally echo the burden just to get you to waste your purge signet. Soothing images would probably pwn you too. Good luck getting the adrenaline for skull crack then.
It's a tough one to beat imo. Balthazar's spirit will help with adrenaline+mana. If you can't move though you're still boned. I'd pick a few ranged smites. Signet of Judgement maybe. Play the knockdown game. When you get close enough savage slash+skull crack should interrupt well enough to get enough adrenaline for skull crack. You are using swords right? Everyone is these days for some bizarre reason. I like my hammer personally....
